Connectivity

We provide a range of connectivity services to commercial customers including physical connectivty and MPLS virtual routing solutions.

Broadband

A range of broadband speeds are available to suit business users from 2Mbps to 100Mbps lines.

Automated failover can be provided if required. This service involves the installation of a secondary line providing a seamless failover connection. A failure on one line will automatically cause traffic to flow over the alternate path, enabling 24/7 access to the Internet.

Leased Lines

Leased lines are dedicated network connections delivered to your office or place of work, to provide high-speed access for both servers and staff.

Data is delivered over copper or fiber optic cabling, with fiber optic connectivity available for high bandwidth connectivity across the region. Service Level Agreements (SLAs) offer with assured resolution times should a fault occur.

IP/MPLS VPN

Virtual Private Network solutions based on either MPLS or IPSEC protocols allowing secure transmission of your data around the world.

IP Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions based on either MPLS or IPSEC protocols allow your workforce to communicate securely between locations effectively at a fraction of the cost of traditional dedicated circuits. These can be operated at L2 which provide seamless connectivty between sites by removing the overhead of Layer 3 VPN traffic.

NGA - Next Generation Access

Broadband speeds are available to suit business needs from light home user connections to 10Gbps lines for large organizations and businesses.

Automated failover dramatically improves service availability. The installation of a secondary connection enables spontaneously in the event of primary link failure. Data traffic is seamlessly rerouted across the secondary link, providing an alternative path and negating potential downtime.

IP Transit

IP Transit is a connectivity service that allows data to transfer between your servers and remote sites. It can connect your own network to the globe through an Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Network

SDN operates a multi-Gbps MPLS backbone, utilising the latest carrier class routing and switching hardware. The network is a combination of SDN owned fibre and leased lines/wavelengths from major telecommunications and infrastructure operators.

SDN local facilities comprise fibre optic networks that interconnect town, city and community network PoPs with long-distance carrier PoPs to create a managed data transit network.

The fibre optic infrastructure utilises multiple conduits that allow SDN to deploy newer generations of fibre optic and networking components without the need for further construction and associated disruption. As a result, SDN now operate over 50 PoPs across the North East of England and provide access to a robust, reliable infrastructure.

Consultancy

We can support you in finding the best solution to your needs.

The SDN workforce is trained to very high levels of technical expertise and when this is combined with their experience and detailed geographical knowledge, creates a strong skillset in network and service development, deployment and support.
